a peek at some works for the upcoming show, "devolve", featuring multiple species chains, more crowning glories pieces, and some new directions. “devolve,” explores, in a somewhat playful fashion, our willingness to give up order and stewardship in favor of a more chaotic way of being; one that seems to have more immediate gains for only a tiny percent of the world population. To devolve is to pass on rights, responsibilities, and/or powers, from one person or entity to another. As a verb, it also suggests degeneration, possibly an entropic unmaking. “devolve” will consist of 12-20 works, objects and small installations, all created in the last 3 years. stay tuned for updates...
